1st Day – Thrusday – Barcelona
Transfer from airport or train station to the chosen hotel. Free afternoon, with a possibility to do a city sightseeing tour on your own – optional. Gourmet dinner. Accommodation.
2nd Day – Friday – Barcelona
Our tour stars at the Mercado de la Boqueria de Este an emblematic space of the city, which occupies the former courtyard of the old church of Sant Josep, it was inaugurated in 1836. Originally the market was outdoors and used as a point of sale for vendors and farmers selling their products directly on the street. But it was only in 1914, that the room was covered definitely. Breakfast at the different and typical specialized selling posts. With a full stomach there will be a guided tour of the market and also participate in a kitchen seminar, where with “chef’s apron” and under the instructions of a Chef, we will prepare our lunch. In the afternoon walk along the Ramblas on your own. Gourmet dinner. Accommodation.
3rd Day – Saturday – Barcelona
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to the city of Gaudi and its modernism and the Gothic Quarter going to the most representative places. After the visit, there will be a lunch consisting of a small tapas route. Then we go to the famous “Camp Nou FCB”, where we will visit the museum and its facilities. Transfer to the hotel. Gourmet dinner. Accommodation.
4th Day – Sunday – Barcelona / Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Vic, capital of the Barcelona interior region of Osona, situated at the river
Meder banks, at the surrounding area of the impressive swamp of Sau. Its remarkable Cathedral is the headquarters of an archbishopric. The temple, built at the end of the XVIII century, is of neoclassical style and one of its biggest attractions are the inside murals by Josep Maria Sert. In the Middle Ages, the city was divided into two sectors, one around the Castle of Montcada and another around the Cathedral. We continue our tour to the interior of Vic, where we will visit a factory that produces sausages, which are typical from this region. There will be a lunch tasting of sausages at this factory. Return to Barcelona and departure in train AVE to Madrid. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
5th Day – Monday – Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards we will do a city sightseeing tour, passing by Calle Alcalá, Plaza de Touros las Ventas (bullring), here we will do a short stop; Plaza Cibeles, Castelhana walk, Plaza Castela, Atocha, Parque del Retiro, the Barrio de Salamanca, Plaza de España, Plaza de Oriente, Plaza Mayor and City Council. Lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Madrid from Austrians, name given to Madrid because of the Habsburg dynasty, which reigned in Spain beginning with Charles I, who enriched the city with palaces and monuments. Gourmet dinner. Accommodation.
6th Day – Tuesday – Madrid / Escorial / Segóvia / Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Monastery of the Escorial, majestic building, built by Felipe II, and became the masterpiece of the Golden Age. From this stunning architectural masterpiece is worth mentioning the Patio of the Kings, adorned with six colossal sculptures of Judea monarchs; the Basilica, majestic classical temple, below the Major Chapel is the Royal Pantheon in a crypt shape. We continue to Segovia, a city full of artistic and gastronomic attractions. Lunch in a typical Mesón, to eat the famous “cochinillo.” Free time to stroll through the town where, stands the Aqueduct, roman superb piece of engineering: the Cathedral, which includes the Major Chapel, the cloister and the choir; and the emblematic building of the Alcazar. Return to Madrid. Gourmet dinner. Accommodation.
7th Day – Wednesday – Madrid / Barcelona
Breakfast and departure transfer to the airport or train station.
