The Pantanal wetland is subdivided in 11 different sub-regions by the degree of flood and drainage, vegetation, type of ground and mountainous formations.

During the field trips our specialized Pantaneiro guides for tracking and biologists, specialized in felines, will take you for scientific observation of these animals found inside the Farm area.
A dense forest cut by temporaraly and permanent rivers, characterizes Mirandas Wetland. The principal rivers are Miranda and Salobra, whith great parts running through the Bodoquena Mountain range, which has calcarious formation.
The waters, heading for the Pantanal and rich in sediments with high amount of calcium and magnesium, forming a rich land quite different from the sandy ground found in the Pantanal of Nhecolândia. This fertile ground favors the formation of dense forest. In Mirandas Pantanl we find forest full of the Palmtree Carandá (Copernicia alba) and arboreal formations with dominant species like Ipê Amarelo Paratudo (Tabebuia aurea) and Ipê Rosa Piúva Pantaneira (Tabebuia impetiginosa and T. heptaphyla ). This known arboreal formation, known as Paratudais and Piuvais, attract peolpe with their beautiful colors of his flowers.
For the proximity to the Bodoquena Mountain Range the Pantanal of Miranda is placed in a transition zone between mountain range and plain land, favoring a great diversity of environments and increasing chances to find a great variety of species of animals.
