Quinta do Vallado & Quinta do Passadouro

We start our day with a visit to the charming Quinta do Vallado, located in the heart of the Douro, near the Régua. This estate spreads out on both banks of the Corgo River, near its merging point with the Douro. With references dating back to 1716, the estate was owned by the legendary D. Antonia Adelaide Ferreira and remains in the family since then, presently going in the sixth generation. The high quality of their wines recognized by the most reputable international experts, makes Quinta do Vallado one of the best and indisputable references of what the Douro has to offer. Lunch will be served at the estate. Then we continue our itinerary with a visit to the Quinta do Passadouro, located in the heart of the Pinhão Valley. The origin of this estate dates back to the 18th century, when it was referred in the famous Douro map, prepared by the Baron of Forrester. In 1991, the Estate was bought and started not only to produce Port, but also table wines of high quality, with the aim of creating a premium quality red wine, as the highest expression of what this terroir can offer.
